Clawfinger is a Swedish-Norwegian band formed in 1989, known for their original fusion of rap and metal at a time when the style was only beginning to rise. Their breakthrough came with the debut Deaf Dumb Blind (1993), which drew attention not only for its heavy sound but also for its bold anti-racist themes. Clawfinger has never shied away from sharp social commentary, whether addressing politics, violence, or stereotypes. Their music stands on thick guitars, an industrial edge, and the distinctive rap-infused vocals of Zak Tell, giving their songs a unique and explosive energy.

Over the years, the band has earned a reputation as an uncompromising live force and one of Europe’s most influential crossover-metal acts. Albums like Use Your Brain, Clawfinger, and A Whole Lot of Nothing solidified their status as a band unafraid to experiment while never losing their signature sound — direct, hard-hitting, and full of emotion.
