LAIBACH - Tour 2026 - Praha

31 / 05 / 2026 / PRAHA / PALÁC AKROPOLIS

Visionaries of avant-garde music Laibach return to Prague after a year and a half to present an entirely new live program. The set will feature a substantial number of new compositions recorded over the past two years, complemented by several well-known tracks drawn from their extensive musical history. Don’t miss this unique performance by giants who have been provoking the global music scene for 45 years.

Laibach originate from the Slovenian town of Trbovlje and have drawn attention since 1980 with a provocative aesthetic that merges totalitarian symbolism, industrial sound, and conceptual art. Their work frequently balances on the edge between critique and appropriation of authoritarian elements, sparking intense debates about meaning and interpretation.

Musically, Laibach operate primarily within industrial and experimental rock, yet over the years they have explored a broad stylistic spectrum — from electronics and orchestral arrangements to avant-garde pop. They are also renowned for their unconventional reinterpretations of well-known material, including a reworked version of Let It Be by The Beatles, as well as monumental renditions of folk and pop songs that shift the originals into entirely new semantic frameworks.

Laibach are also part of the wider art collective Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK), whose activities encompass visual art, theatre, and conceptual projects engaging with themes of identity and national symbolism. Through this interdisciplinary integration, their output transcends conventional music production and functions as a multilayered cultural commentary. As a result, the group has earned international recognition not only as musicians but as one of the most significant representatives of European postmodern art.
