Forget lyrics — Monkey3 tell their stories through vibrations and ethereal soundscapes. This instrumental formation from Lausanne, Switzerland, is heading to Prague’s legendary Strahov 007, where on February 13 they will unleash their unique blend of psychedelic rock, stoner, and space rock.

Monkey3’s music is like a massive wave, holding its sonic ground somewhere between Kyuss, Monster Magnet, and Pink Floyd, emphasizing dynamic transitions between heavy, fuzz-soaked passages and dreamy, ambient interludes. Formed in 2001 originally as a jam-session project, they quickly transformed into a full-fledged band that has become one of the key names on the European alternative scene.

After several demo recordings, they released their self-titled debut Monkey 3 (2003). Their true breakthrough came with The 5th Sun (2007) and especially Beyond the Black Sky (2011), which established them as an internationally acclaimed act. Their pivotal album Sphere (2019), released under the renowned label Napalm Records, introduced an even more elaborate and orchestral sound, including a two-part, two-hour-long composition on side B. Their most recent album Welcome to the Machine (2024) continues the band’s exploration of cosmic depths.
