NO TOURISTY NONSENSE. JUST REAL HISTORY, DARK STORIES, AND FORGOTTEN PLACES.

As the streets of Old Prague fall into evening shadow, you will set off on a guided walk designed for those who appreciate the darker side of history. This is not a sightseeing tour - it’s a carefully curated journey through real legends, crimes, and hidden corners of the city, led by Mgr. Martin Horčic, Prague attorney, musician and lover of Prague’s history.

You’ll explore places that rarely appear on tourist maps, tied together by a deep sense of place and centuries of dramatic events - from medieval executions to post-war unrest.

Highlights include:

  • Convent of St. Agnes and Řásnovka Street
A rare glimpse into one of the oldest surviving medieval zones in the city. We'll explore the area around a 13th-century convent and a nearby street that escaped demolition in the 19th century.

  • Old Town Square
Learn the story behind one of the most notorious mass executions in Prague’s history -an event that turned the market square into a public spectacle of power and punishment.

  • Charles Bridge and the long-lost Judith Bridge
We examine the symbolic and historical layers of one of Europe’s most famous crossings - and walk the invisible path of its forgotten predecessor.

  • Malá Strana's hidden streets
Beyond the postcard views, this district hides stories of judicial torture, medieval brothels, wartime lynchings, and the strange legacy of Edward Kelley, an English alchemist who once lived here. We'll ascend Nerudova Street, a steep and ancient route where many have quite literally met their end.

  • Loreta, Hradčany, and Nový Svět
After a climb through the upper part of the city, we'll visit quiet, rarely explored lanes where baroque elegance meets the remains of far older, more brutal times.

  • Prague Castle and Golden Lane
The final stretch takes us through the massive castle complex—but not as most know it. We’ll focus on forgotten corners, symbolic details, and connections to mysticism in literature, especially through the eyes of Gustav Meyrink and his novel The Golem.

The walk ends with a drink at U Dvou Slunců, a historic tavern with a 19th-century atmosphere - ideal for reflecting on what you’ve just experienced.

Practical Info:

  • The walk covers roughly 4.5 km and includes stairs and hills.

  • Rain or shine - this event runs in all weather.

  • Not suitable for those with limited mobility.
