HÄLLAS - Praha
22 / 03 / 2026 / PRAHA / FUTURUM
The Swedish ensemble Hällas brings a unique blend of nostalgia and fantasy to the modern music scene. Their sound fuses the progressive rock of the 1970s with elements of heavy metal and space rock, creating a world full of adventure, myth, and melancholy. The band will return to the Czech Republic on March 22, performing at Futurum Music Bar in Prague.
The style of Hällas can best be described as “adventure rock” — a term they coined themselves. Their music is built on melodic vocals, warm guitar harmonies, vintage keyboards, and rhythms reminiscent of classics like Uriah Heep, Blue Öyster Cult, or Camel. Instead of darkness and aggression, Hällas choose a dreamy atmosphere that invites listeners on a journey through fantasy and the past. Their songs intertwine adventure, mysticism, and a touch of sci-fi.
Formed in 2011 in Linköping, Sweden, Hällas first caught attention with their self-titled debut EP (2015), which combined an old-school sound with a coherent fantasy narrative. The follow-up album Excerpts from a Future Past (2017) solidified their reputation as masters of atmospheric retro rock, while the breakthrough record Conundrum (2020) propelled them among the most intriguing progressive acts in Europe.
Their latest release, Isle of Wisdom (2022), continues the story of the Hällas universe and reaffirms their exceptional place on the scene. On stage, the band is just as captivating as in the studio — their live shows are a colorful journey through time, merging the aesthetics of classic prog rock legends with a modern sense of drama and detail. Hällas prove that retro can still sound fresh when delivered with imagination, passion, and vision.
