ONSLAUGHT, PERSECUTOR - Praha

The pioneers of British thrash metal, Onslaught, are bringing their war machine to the Czech Republic! On February 10th at Modrá Vopice, the band—founded over four decades ago—will prove they’ve lost none of their energy, aggression, or relentless drive throughout their career.
Formed in 1982 in Bristol, Onslaught initially drew influence from hardcore punk before finding their true calling in the speed, ferocity, and darker atmosphere of thrash metal, which was emerging on both sides of the Atlantic at the time. Their early work took inspiration from bands like Venom, Slayer, and Motörhead, delivering a raw, uncompromising sound that quickly earned them respect on the UK metal scene.
In 1986, they released their breakthrough album The Force, now hailed as a cornerstone of European thrash metal. This was followed by In Search of Sanity (1989), a record that shifted toward a more technical and polished sound, gaining them broader attention beyond the underground. However, the band disbanded in the early ’90s, leaving fans disappointed.
Their comeback in 2005 proved that Onslaught’s energy and aggressive spirit remained intact. Recent albums such as Killing Peace, Generation Antichrist, and the latest Origins of Aggression have solidified their status among Europe’s leading thrash acts. With politically and socially charged lyrics and a reputation for relentless live performances, Onslaught continue to crush audiences with the same intensity as they did forty years ago.
