AFSKY, MYRDAL - Praha

03 / 11 / 2025 / PRAHA / SUBZERO

Darkness, raw emotion, and an atmospheric depth – that's what awaits at the November concert of Danish project Afsky, supported by German duo Myrdal. Afsky will deliver melancholic and intense black metal with a deeply personal narrative, while Myrdal brings a dose of pure German black metal. Two powerful visions, one night that will consume you.

Afsky is the solo project of Ole Pedersen Luk from Denmark. His music is an emotionally charged and atmospheric blend of black metal, weaving together melancholy, ferocity, and Nordic darkness. While rooted in traditional Norwegian black metal, Afsky’s sound is enriched with elements of doom and Scandinavian folk, adding depth and raw human vulnerability to each composition.

With lyrics written in Danish, Afsky delves into themes of sorrow, solitude, and existential suffering. It’s not just music—it’s an emotional landscape where pain transforms into beauty. Whether on record or live, Afsky doesn’t chase extremity for its own sake but instead cuts straight to the heart of emotion.

Myrdal, formed in Leipzig in April 2022, emerged as a mysterious duo and released their debut EP just months later that November. Their first full-length album Helvíti offers five tracks of raw black metal laced with dense atmosphere – a balance of chaos and melody, an aura of darkness, and a growing sense of despair. Drawing inspiration from the Icelandic black metal scene, Myrdal still retain a distinctly German identity – their cold, almost glacial production is lifted by dynamic drumming, crushing riffs, and distant, icy vocals.

Prepare for a night of bleak beauty and immersive soundscapes – Afsky and Myrdal will guide you through the shadows.
