When you think of Russian deathcore, Slaughter to Prevail is the first name that comes to mind. Formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg, the five-piece band fuses savage deathcore, nu-metal elements, and the extraordinarily deep guttural vocals of Alex Terrible. They debuted with the Chapters of Misery EP in 2015, followed by the albums Misery Sermon (2017) and Kostolom (2021). Their long-anticipated album Grizzly is set for release in July 2025, promising yet another evolution of their signature sound.
Live, Slaughter to Prevail are known for their demonic masks and a dark, theatrical visual identity. Their lyrics dive deep into brutal, nihilistic themes—war, suffering, and rebellion against oppressive systems. The band publicly spoke out against Putin’s regime shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and later relocated to Orlando, Florida.
Joining them are death metal veterans Dying Fetus, hailing from Maryland and active since 1991. Known for their intense blend of brutal and technical death metal with grindcore, Dying Fetus deliver technical precision, blast beats, and guttural vocals. Lyrically, they often explore political and social issues, earning them a spot among the most respected names in extreme music.
Completing the lineup are California deathcore icons Suicide Silence, formed in 2002 in Riverside. With their unique mix of death metal, grindcore, and groove metal, they helped shape the deathcore genre. Their debut album The Cleansing (2007) became one of the best-selling debuts in Century Media Records history. The tragic passing of original vocalist Mitch Lucker in 2012 deeply affected the scene, but the band continued with Hernan "Eddie" Hermida (formerly of All Shall Perish) on vocals. Their latest record, Remember... You Must Die (March 2023), marks a return to their heavier roots.
Don’t miss this brutal triple bill in Prague — it’s going to be one for the books!
