OBSCURA, SUICIDAL ANGELS, SADIST - Ostrava

The German technical death metal machine Obscura is heading to our region this fall! Masters of the craft, known for blending brutal intensity, technical precision, and elements of progressive metal, will perform on September 14th at the BARRÁK club in Ostrava!

Obscura was formed in 2002 in the German town of Landshut under the leadership of guitarist and vocalist Steffen Kummerer. Since its inception, the band has aimed to push the boundaries of extreme music — not only on a technical level but also conceptually. Their music combines crushing riffs with progressive structures, melodic passages, and philosophical or scientific themes, earning them a dedicated fan base across the globe.

Obscura's discography includes several albums that have become staples of technical death metal, including critically acclaimed records such as Cosmogenesis, Omnivium, and Diluvium. Each album marks a new evolutionary step — in terms of songwriting, sound, and lyrical content. Obscura’s music is known for its complexity, virtuosic instrumental performances, and relentless intensity, making the band one of the most important and influential forces in modern technical death metal.

Joining Obscura at both shows will be the Greek thrashers SUICIDAL ANGELS – a band well-loved by Czech fans.

Rounding out the lineup are the Italian veterans Sadist, who have been mixing technical death metal with progressive and atmospheric elements since the early 1990s. Thanks to their technical precision, dark melodies, and complex compositions, Sadist stands among the most intriguing acts on the European extreme music scene.
