CROOKS (UK) - Praha

25 / 04 / 2027 / PRAHA / CROSS CLUB

Melodic hardcore with a distinctly British edge. After years of silence and a return to active touring, British band Crooks are bringing their emotional yet uncompromising sound back to Prague. Having helped define an era of the European underground, the band will unleash their raw energy in its purest form in the intimate setting of Cross Club.

Crooks are one of those bands that left a lasting mark on the British guitar scene despite a relatively small discography. Hailing from Cheltenham, they masterfully blend the rawness of post-hardcore riffs with the sensibilities of the emo revival, all driven by Josh Rogers' distinctive, trembling vocals. Their approach has never relied on empty genre clichés. Instead, it thrives on dynamic contrasts, where aggressive rhythms collide with fragile, melancholic guitar melodies.

Their 2015 debut album, Are We All the Same Distance Apart, resonated across the genre spectrum and left a lasting impression on post-hardcore fans around the world. After an extended hiatus, the band returned to the stage with undiminished intensity and a renewed sense of energy.
