JARED JAMES NICHOLS - Praha

02 / 02 / 2027 / PRAHA / ROCK CAFÉ

No pick, just pure dynamic contact between fingers and strings, with the sound pulled straight from the body of the guitar. American blues-rock virtuoso Jared James Nichols brings his uncompromising show to Prague’s Rock Café on February 2, 2027. Get ready for a proper riff-driven charge, a powerful groove, and a ferocious guitar masterclass.

Jared James Nichols stands out as a unique force on today’s guitar scene. Instead of relying on a traditional pick, he plays exclusively using his signature “pickless” technique, giving his tone an organic dynamics, aggressive attack, and immediate response. Born in Wisconsin, he first made a name for himself after moving to Los Angeles, where he won the Musicians Institute Most Outstanding Player Award. From there, he quickly established himself as one of the most distinctive guitarists of his generation and an official Gibson ambassador. His music naturally combines the legacy of classic Southern rock with a heavy blues foundation and an explosive edge shaped by influences such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Zakk Wylde.

At the heart of his sound is his single-pickup Gibson Les Paul Custom, known as “Old Glory,” which he uses to draw an incredible spectrum of tones from the instrument. With releases such as Black Magic and his self-titled album Jared James Nichols, he has toured the world alongside names like Slash, Billy Gibbons, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tracks such as Skin 'n Bone come alive on stage as precision-engineered, hard-driving machines. Now he is heading to Prague’s Rock Café to showcase pure guitar craftsmanship, where everything comes down to the strength in his fingers and a perfectly dialed-in amp.
