MOTHER´S CAKE, YEAST MACHINE - Praha

11 / 02 / 2027 / PRAHA / 007 STRAHOV

Progressive frenzy and stoner grime in one night. Austrian psych-rock chameleons MOTHER'S CAKE will take over Prague’s Strahov club Sedmička on February 11, 2027, with German fuzz/grunge rising stars YEAST MACHINE opening the evening. Expect no compromises, just pure guitar-driven energy.

Austrian Mother's Cake have spent more than a decade establishing themselves as one of the most exciting guitar bands in the European underground. Their music is an explosive cocktail where the frenetic progressive energy of The Mars Volta collides with playful funk and uncompromising psychedelic sound. From their acclaimed debut Creation's Finest, through their rawer recordings, to the groove-heavy opus Cyberfunk!, the trio has consistently smashed through the boundaries of established genres. Live, they deliver a technically brilliant and visceral whirlwind, with Yves Krismer’s unmistakable vocals and razor-sharp rhythmic precision creating an immense forward drive. At Strahov, expect an intense sonic assault that leaves unnecessary poses behind and hits you straight in the gut.

German outfit Yeast Machine will take on the role of the evening’s support, bringing a proper dose of guitar-driven sludge to Sedmička. Their sound is built around heavyweight fuzz riffs and a dense, pounding pace, organically blending earthy stoner rock with the legacy of ’90s Seattle grunge. Imagine the rawness of early Mudhoney mixed with heavy psychedelia and a rolling sound reminiscent of the golden era of desert rock. With their massive guitar attack and vocals oozing both frustration and genuine defiance, Yeast Machine will set the perfect stage for the headliners. If you have a soft spot for downtuned guitars and the thick atmosphere of sweaty clubs, make sure you’re down by the stage from the very first riff.
