Florida’s Monstrosity are among the foundational 90s pillars of the genre that helped define the very concept of "Tampa Bay death metal." George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher got his start in their ranks before joining Cannibal Corpse, and iconic albums like Imperial Doom (1992) or Millennium (1996) remain textbook examples of how to combine uncompromising blast beats with technical precision and guitar virtuosity. The heart of the band remains relentless drummer Lee Harrison, under whose leadership the group maintains its unyielding character, right through to their latest studio album The Passage of Existence.

Finns I Am Your God will provide a more straightforward and modern contrast. The quintet from Arctic Rovaniemi serves up high-energy melodeath that draws from the classic turn-of-the-millennium Scandinavian sound, but packs it into a contemporary, dynamic production. Their albums The War Within and SINister are built on razor-sharp guitar duels, catchy riffs, and fierce vocals.
