California hardcore legends Terror are returning to Prague! On November 25, Akropolis will be transformed into an epicenter of uncompromising breakdowns and raw energy. Joining them will be returning legends Bane, fierce up-and-comers Start Today, and Germany’s Peace of Mind. This will be the perfect amalgamation of old-school spirit and modern hardcore that no fan of the genre should miss.

The Los Angeles powerhouse Terror, led by tireless frontman Scott Vogel, have been flying the flag for classic, aggressive hardcore for more than two decades. The band have built an unshakable reputation with albums such as One with the Underdogs and the genre-defining Keepers of the Faith. Their music is all about going straight for the jugular: metal-infused riffs, barked vocals, and lyrics about loyalty and survival in the streets. Terror’s live shows are renowned for erasing the line between stage and crowd, with Vogel demanding constant stage diving and absolute chaos in the circle pit. In Prague, they will deliver the purest essence of the genre, without unnecessary frills or modern filters.

However, the evening’s biggest draw is undoubtedly the return of Massachusetts hardcore icons Bane. In 2016, after nearly twenty-four years, they brought their career to a grand finale, only to realize seven years later that their emotional, fast-paced, and deeply thoughtful hardcore was sorely missed by the scene. Bane were never just about heavy riffs. They brought an enormous sense of urgency to the genre, along with anthemic sing-alongs and melodic passages that turned albums such as Give Blood into timeless classics. Their sets are a cathartic wave of genuine emotion, with every word from Aaron Bedard resonating throughout the entire venue.

The role of the evening’s detonators falls to two excellent bands. Representing the home scene will be Start Today, who, in the spirit of bands such as Gorilla Biscuits — from whom they borrowed their name — keep energetic, positive, and fast old-school hardcore alive, infused with a catchy punk drive. They will be joined by Germany’s Peace of Mind. Taking a different approach, they represent the heavier, more modern side of dark metallic hardcore, built around downtuned guitars, rolling breakdowns, and an impenetrable atmosphere.
