THE OCEAN, PSYCHONAUT, THE DEVIL'S TRADE - Praha

26 / 11 / 2026 / PRAHA / FUTURUM MUSIC BAR

German post-metal architects The Ocean are heading to Prague. On November 26, they will bring their showcase of intelligent riffing and immense sonic depth to Futurum. Joining them are Belgium’s hypnotic trio Psychonaut and Hungary’s The Devil’s Trade, a project balancing on the border between doom metal and folk. This colossal wall of sound is simply not to be missed.

The Ocean (also known as The Ocean Collective), led by guitarist and mastermind Robin Staps, have long defined what intellectual, atmospheric, yet crushing progressive metal can sound like. The band has built an unwavering reputation through conceptual albums exploring Earth’s geological history and philosophy—from the evolutionary milestones of Precambrian through the deep-time concepts of Phanerozoic to their latest evolutionary chapters. Their music thrives on the contrast between massive post-rock soundscapes and uncompromising, intricate sludge-metal riffing, all elevated by the dynamic vocals of Loïc Rossetti. Live, The Ocean are synonymous with meticulously balanced intensity and overwhelming sonic force.

Belgian trio Psychonaut will deliver a heavyweight dose of post-metal infused with psychedelic and progressive influences. Their sound recalls genre-defining acts such as Tool and Isis, yet combines spirituality and mood-driven passages into something entirely their own, as demonstrated on acclaimed albums Unfold the God Man and Violate Consensus Reality.

Opening the evening will be Hungary’s The Devil’s Trade, the project of folk bard Dávid Makó. With his raw and dark folk sound, infused with doom and ancient melancholic blues, he can captivate an audience armed with little more than a guitar, percussion, and his monumental voice.
