Denver’s Khemmis are bringing their massive, melancholy-soaked doom/heavy metal to Prague. Joining them as special guests will be British crushers Celestial Sanctuary with their uncompromising old-school death metal assault. Tormented melodies vs. unpolished filth. October 20th at Subzero.

Khemmis have carved out a truly unique position on the global metal scene. The American four-piece masterfully combines the crushing weight of traditional doom metal in the vein of Candlemass with epic guitar harmonies and the aesthetic of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). Forget monotonous sludge; their music is built on towering riffs, twin guitar leads, and the charismatic vocals of Phil Pender.

Providing the perfect contrast and thickening the atmosphere will be British outfit Celestial Sanctuary. They’ve become one of the brightest names of the current New Wave of British Death Metal movement. With critically acclaimed records Soul Rot and Insatiable Thirst for Violence under their belt, the band delivers total devastation, raw production, crushing grooves, and filthy aggression paying homage to genre legends like Bolt Thrower and early Carcass.
