Combichrist are going back to their roots as Andy LaPlegua brings an exclusive OLD SCHOOL ELECTRO SET to Prague’s Futurum! Norwegian musical chameleon Andy LaPlegua founded Combichrist in 2003 as an outlet for his more aggressive electronic vision, following his work with Icon of Coil, which helped define the synth-pop and futurepop wave of the era. With their debut The Joy of Gunz and the cult classic Everybody Hates You, he created a machine that set the pace for the aggrotech and TBM (Techno Body Music) scenes. Although the project later embraced a much stronger metal and guitar-driven aesthetic – leading to major success with the soundtrack for DmC: Devil May Cry and tours with Rammstein – its true foundations lie in relentless analogue sequences and distorted vocals.

It is precisely this raw era that will take absolute priority in Prague. For this tour, the live setup will leave the guitars behind and focus entirely on the hardware-driven, heavyweight club sound of the first decade of the new millennium. In the intimate surroundings of Prague’s Futurum, the destructive energy of tracks such as “This Shit Will Fuck You Up” and “Blut Royale” will come roaring back to life. Whether you are a veteran of the early EBM scene or a metalhead looking for the hardest electronic pulse around, this exclusive retrospective is a must. Bolehlav is a Prague-based industrial/electronic project combining hard-hitting electronics, metal, and deathstep. The project has released its music through the French label Audiotrauma and is currently working on a new album.
