For almost two decades, the Münster-based quartet has been defining what modern instrumental rock can sound like, proving that you don't need a vocalist to tell complex and compelling stories. From their cult debut Satellite Bay to conceptual monuments such as Eraser, Long Distance Calling have mastered the balance between the melancholy of post-rock and the technical precision of progressive metal. Their music is about far more than reverb; it is kinetic energy, with drums and guitars forming an organic wall of sound that combines German precision with raw emotion.

The special nature of this evening at Cargo Gallery lies in its intimate seated setting. In the industrial surroundings of the ship on the Vltava River, even the finest textures of their sound will have room to shine—elements that can sometimes get lost during a traditional club show. The band, who have previously collaborated with Jonas Renkse (Katatonia) and Peter Dolving, will bring a set built around gradual progression and atmospheric contrasts.

Swiss post-rock outfit Leech, founded in 1995 in Zofingen, have become one of the enduring names of the European instrumental scene. Their music is built around meticulously crafted, atmospheric structures, where calm melodic passages gradually build and evolve into massive walls of guitars and cathartic climaxes. With no need for vocals, they are able to tell powerful emotional stories, earning the band a devoted fanbase around the world.
