A powerful combination of Nordic melodic death metal excellence and Italian gothic flair is heading to Roxy! The Halo Effect, formed by genre-defining veterans, Lacuna Coil with their charismatic vocal duel, and Finnish mood-setters Omnium Gatherum will showcase the European metal spirit in its most dynamic form.

The Halo Effect are far more than just a side project of seasoned musicians — they represent a return to the very canon they helped write in Gothenburg during the 1990s. Led by Mikael Stanne and Jesper Strömblad, the band distills the essence of melodic death metal, stripping away any unnecessary excess. Their sound is focused, layered with intricate guitar work, and relentlessly melodic. No experimentation for the sake of it — just pure craftsmanship from those who defined the style and are now refining it to perfection with modern production.

Italy’s Lacuna Coil bring a dramatic contrast to the lineup, injecting modern groove and gothic atmosphere. The duo of Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro masterfully commands the dynamic between dark elegance and arena-level energy. Since their breakthrough album Comalies, they’ve evolved toward a heavier, more aggressive sound without ever losing their distinctive Southern European sense of melody and sophistication. At Roxy, expect a show that is both sonically and visually polished — reaffirming their status as a global metal powerhouse.

Completing the lineup are Finland’s Omnium Gatherum, who wrap Northern melancholy into complex, almost progressive structures. Led by guitarist Markus Vanhala, the band leans into their self-described “Adult Oriented Death Metal” — technically demanding and heavy, yet enriched with expansive keyboard textures and memorable guitar harmonies. They serve as the perfect bridge between the rawness of melodeath and atmospheric depth, setting the tone for the entire evening in the best possible way.
