KING DUDE - Praha

27 / 09 / 2026 / PRAHA / SUBZERO

Dark folk with a touch of sulfur. King Dude will resonate through Prague’s Subzero on September 27, unleashing his deep baritone in songs about death, love, and Lucifer. Southern gothic delivered by a blue-eyed Mephistopheles, blending the rawness of blues with metal-rooted foundations. This is devotional rock’n’roll in its purest form.

TJ Cowgill, performing as King Dude, has walked the line between the sacred and the profane since 2006. While modern folk often forgets its blood-soaked origins, he resurrects them through stark songwriting and prophetic visions. With the presence of Johnny Cash and a voice that sounds like it beat Robert Johnson to the crossroads, he can shift within a single breath from fragile whispers to biblical fury. He sings about death with the same intensity as he does about love, captivating audiences across genres.

His discography, released through labels such as Ván Records and Dais, stands as proof of his genre-defying nature, where country and blues intersect with British folk and a metallic backbone. King Dude is no stranger to larger stages either, as evidenced by tours alongside Ghost and Earth. At Subzero, he will bring hypnotic hymns that stare into the deepest darkness to uncover hope and redemption within. His performances carry the weight of Lutheran sermons, where stomping feet and communal singing become the only path to salvation.
