THE AMITY AFFLICTION, SILENT PLANET, VARIALS, ORTHODOX - Praha
01 / 10 / 2026 / PRAHA / ROXY
Australian metalcore heavyweights The Amity Affliction are heading to Roxy – the Queensland wrecking crew will bring their new album House of Cards to Prague as part of their European tour! Joining them as special guests are progressive visionaries Silent Planet, the relentlessly aggressive Varials, and the neurotic force of Orthodox. A night of raw emotion and total destruction. October 1, 2026, Roxy Prague. This is not one to miss.
The Amity Affliction are no longer just “those guys from Queensland.” Over two decades, they’ve grown into an institution that helped define modern metalcore through honest catharsis and an unflinching exploration of inner demons. Although the scene was shaken last year by the departure of Ahren Stringer, the band found a fitting replacement in Jonny Reeves (Kingdom of Giants). His vocals now complement Joel’s raw roar in that signature contrast where pain collides with crystal-clear choruses. From the cult classic Let the Ocean Take Me to their current material, the band have retained a rare ability: writing stadium-sized anthems that lift you sky-high in the chorus, only to slam you back into the floor of Roxy with a sudden, unforgiving breakdown.
Silent Planet represent the intellectual edge of the genre. Garrett Russell is more than a frontman—he’s a poet who weaves deep philosophical and literary research into his lyrics. Musically, the band operate at the intersection of progressive metalcore and atmospheric post-rock, making them one of the most forward-thinking acts in the scene today. Their live sets are both a spiritual experience and a display of technical virtuosity that demands full attention.
Philadelphia’s Varials are the pure embodiment of sonic violence. The band are currently undergoing a major “rebirth,” set to be cemented by the release of their fourth studio album Where The Light Leaves on February 27, 2026, via Fearless Records. Produced by Josh Schroeder (known for his work with Lorna Shore), the record promises the most crushing sound in the band’s history. If you’re looking for unfiltered aggression and dissonant riffs that refuse to leave anyone untouched, Varials are the answer. They pull no punches, and their groove will move you whether you want it to or not.
The night will be opened by Orthodox, who inject classic hardcore with the urgency of ’90s nu-metal and the calculated brutality of early-2000s mathcore. It’s rhythmic, unsettling, and relentlessly driving. Their distinctive sound proves that hardcore still has plenty of room to evolve without losing its original anger and rawness—a perfect ignition point for this stacked lineup.
Mandatory attendance for anyone who looks for more than empty gestures in metalcore – see you in Dlouhá!
