ALIEN ANT FARM - Praha

12 / 08 / 2026 / PRAHA / ROCK CAFÉ

American Alien Ant Farm are bringing their dynamic fusion of alternative metal and post-grunge to Rock Café on August 12. Expect sharp riffs, infectious hooks, and frontman Dryden Mitchell in peak form. This is a band that refuses to fit neatly into any box, delivering raw, high-energy rock’n’roll with the unmistakable spirit of the turn of the millennium. Experience them live.

The California outfit is far more than the band known for “that one cover.” Their music is a sophisticated blend of alternative metal and post-grunge that avoids simple categorization. With Dryden Mitchell’s distinctive, shape-shifting vocals and the band’s tight instrumental chemistry, they craft a sound that’s both heavy and melodically rich. Their debut Greatest Hits hinted at their direction, but it was the platinum-selling ANThology (2001) with singles like Movies and Attitude that cemented their place on the scene. AAF excel at merging complex, rhythm-driven arrangements (often mistakenly lumped in with nu metal) with catchy, pop-leaning choruses.

This tension between hard rock muscle, post-grunge mood, and flashes of funk rock energy (heard most clearly in their hyperactive smash Smooth Criminal) forms the core of Alien Ant Farm’s identity. Their later releases, such as TruANT (2003) and Always and Forever (2015), maintain that strong melodic thread and lyrical weight, while the band continues to sidestep trends in favor of their own vibrant, high-octane sound. At Rock Café, expect a career-spanning set packed with intensity, where nostalgia meets a timeless rock drive.
