WALTARI, PVRS - Praha
20 / 03 / 2026 / PRAHA / PALÁC AKROPOLIS
Formed in 1986 in Helsinki, Waltari built their sound on bold genre-blending. From the very beginning, they refused to be confined by the traditional boundaries of metal, incorporating elements of electronic music, techno rhythms, pop, punk, and even classical music. Over the years, they’ve earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most original and unpredictable metal acts.
Their breakthrough came in the ’90s with Torcha! and later Big Bang, where their ability to fuse heavy riffs with danceable beats and catchy melodies fully emerged. Critics praised not only their fearless experimentation but also the way Waltari managed to keep a cohesive identity despite their extreme stylistic diversity. This approach won them fans all across Europe—including a devoted following in the Czech Republic.
Waltari are now bringing Nations’ Neurosis to Prague, once again proving that they’ve never been a band to follow any rules. The album showcases their signature mix of musical freedom, bold experimentation, and raw artistic expression. At the heart of Waltari’s creative journey is Kärtsy Hatakka—the band’s mastermind and driving force. Responsible for lead and backing vocals, bass, programming, keyboards, and percussion, Hatakka faced an intense personal storm during the creation of this record: he lost his mother and watched the world slide deeper into chaos and division. The frustration and emotional turmoil of this period seep into every note of Nations’ Neurosis, making it one of Waltari’s most urgent and thought-provoking works to date.
PVRS is a Belgian post-doom / atmospheric sludge / post-metal duo formed in 2023 by two musicians from Bruges/Brussels: Jean-Pierre Mottin and Twan Landrin.
Their music combines heavy, slow riffs with melodies and intense emotions to create a depressive yet hypnotic atmosphere. The project avoids a traditional metal approach and places emphasis on texture, contrast, and depth of sound.
