JAZZ SABBATH at Výstaviště
Do you love the early Black Sabbath albums? Do you love jazz? Are you unafraid of musical experiments and enjoy having fun with music? If so, you definitely shouldn’t miss this extraordinary event taking place on Wednesday, September 16, at Výstaviště in Prague, where the English jazz trio JAZZ SABBATH will perform.
The band was founded by Adam Wakeman (son of Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman), who also played keyboards for Black Sabbath between 2004 and 2017, and is well known for his 20-year tenure with Ozzy Osbourne. JAZZ SABBATH came into existence almost by accident—after one Black Sabbath show on tour, Adam was encouraged by a crew member at the hotel bar to play some old Sabbath tunes on the piano. The response was so overwhelming that he kept playing until morning… stopping only when security kicked him out.
The jazz arrangements of the immortal songs of the Birmingham legends are bold and daring. So if you’re feeling bold yourself, consider this your ready-made Christmas present. The concert will take place open-air in the beautiful setting of Gauč, right next to Stromovka Park, and will end at 22:00—after which, once again, security will kick you out.
Over the past five years, JAZZ SABBATH have released three studio albums, recently complemented by a live double album. Sold-out shows around the world and glowing reviews across both jazz and rock media promise a truly unique experience.
